We have had multiple questions about copying the DVD to bring costs down for entire church's going through the Proclaim Course in small groups. While we ask that you do not copy the DVD, we recommend churches take this 3-step approach to keep their costs down:
- The church office purchases all the resources for the entire congregation to take the course. Ordering the Proclaim Small Group Kit gets you the greatest discount.
- The church members "pay" for their own Proclaim Training Kit (thus reimbursing the church).
- The church office "pays" for the Proclaim DVD Sets out of the church budget (thus absorbing that cost).
So if a church has about 10 small groups, the total cost the church budget absorbs is about $250 ($25/DVD). The members individually absorb the cost for their own training kits: Proclaim Manuals, "How Good Are You?" tracts, and Spiritual Questionnaire Pads. Which makes sense since they personally get to keep and use these.
Our own church, Covenant Fellowship Church, created the course and this is what we did with our own members to keep costs down! We found it wasn't a hindrance. If you find asking members to pay $20 per kit is too much, you can charge less and absorb the extra into the church budget as well. Hope that helps!
